Zirla Terrell

Zirla M. Terrell, age 81, formerly of Pequot Lakes, died on Tuesday, April 8 at Country Manor Health Care in Sartell. Zirla Mae Hawthorne was born April 20, 1921 in Jackson County, Minnesota to Harry and Clara (Lehmann) Hawthorne. She grew up and attended school in Elysian. She was united in marriage to Donald Terrell on July 17, 1939 in Estherville, Iowa. Zirla worked at home caring for her family. They moved to the Brainerd Lakes Area in 1965. She was widowed in 2000, following 51 years of marriage.
Zirla Terrell is survived by three daughters: Sharon (Larry) Tebben of Austin, TX, Sandra Jacobs (Gary Carlson) of Minneapolis, and Mary (Mike) Hetherington of St. Cloud; two sons: Bruce (Connie) Terrell of Wichita, KS and Bradley (Jody) Terrell of Dallas, TX; a sister Arlene Faltersack of Detroit Lakes; 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Her parents, her husband, one brother, and two sisters preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be Friday, April 11, 2:00 PM, at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter. Friends may visit for one hour before the service. Interment will be at Cedar Hills Cemetery in Elysian on Saturday, April 12, at 1:00 PM. Arrangements are with Brenny Funeral Chapel of Baxter.
