It is with anguish and great sorrow that I announce to whom it may concern, the death on New Year's Day of Zion Elias Kramer, cherished first born son, beloved brother, nephew, cousin, grandson, and friend.
Zion was born on April Fool's Day 1998, and apparently, he got the memo because that boy was full of rich humor, though he was nobody's fool. Zion was a gifted musician and lyricist, a phenomenal artist, an apt pupil desirous of knowledge, an overcomer in every struggle he encountered, not to mention, a unicyclist.
After earth, air, fire, and water, there was Zion, a true force of nature.
Zion was attending Moorhead State University and was eager to start the Welding program next week. He leaves behind father, Kevin Smart, mother, Melina Kramer, siblings, Sterling Kramer, Sapphire Trujillo, Atraeu Trujillo, Avarayanna Trujillo, grandparents Jeff and Terri Kramer, great-grandmother Bernice Johnson, his partner, Sequoia Martinez and their three furry friends, Monty, Bennet and Ramsey as well as aunts, uncles and many, many cousins.
Zion, we are so proud of you, and while we grapple with the loss of you, we will uphold the memory of who you were to us and celebrate your life. You are missed profoundly, loved eternally.
Rest in peace.
