Winifred Weisinger

Winifred "Winnie" M. Weisinger, 86, of Brainerd died on Monday, February 14, 2011 at St. Cloud Hospital. Services for Winnie will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2011 at 3:00 PM at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter with Rev. Mr. Mike Koecheler officiating. A lunch will be held after services at the Brenny Funeral Chapel Reception Room. Interment will be at the Ely Cemetery.

Winnie was born on November 27, 1924 in London, England to Albert and Johanna (Sheehan) Foster. She met her husband Bert Weisinger during WWII and they married in Tigworth, England on May 19, 1945. After marriage they moved to the United States first settling in Wisconsin before moving to Ely. Winnie was an executive housekeeper at the Ely Hospital. Following Bert's death Winnie lived with her daughter, Ann until the time of her death. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Winnie also loved knitting and reading.

Winnie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bert; sister, Cissy; and brother, Albert. She is survived by her daughter, Ann of Brainerd, MN; son, Robert (Carol) Weisinger of Devils Lakes, ND; and her grandchildren, Deidre and Ben.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter.
