Willis Rauen Jr.

Willis E.Rauen, Jr., age 80, of Brainerd, MN died Sunday, August 4, 2002, at his home. Memorial services will be Wednesday, August 7, 11 AM, at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, with Reverend Bill Ingvolstad officiating. Interment will be at the Baxter City Cemetery, with military honors provided by Brainerd American Legion Post #255. Friends may visit at the funeral chapel for one hour prior to the service. Arrangements are with Brenny Funeral Chapel of Baxter. Willis E. Rauen, Jr. was born April 22, 1922 in St. Paul, MN, to Willis E., Sr. and Dorothy L. (Roberts) Rauen. He was raised in White Bear Lake and graduated from White Bear Lake High School. He served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. On September 25, 1954 he was married to Doris Jensen. He was employed with the Burlington Northern Railroad as Chief Engineer of the power plant until his retirement. He was a member of the Brainerd American Legion, Post 255, for 35 years.
Willis Rauen is survived by two daughters Debra Duy of New Canaan, CT and Denise (Dean) Smith of Brainerd; two sons Steven Rauen of Lakeshore, and Roy (Denise) Rauen of Baxter; a sister Mary Lou Smith of Stuart, FL; a brother Paul Rauen of Valdosa, CA; nine grandchildren, and one great-grandson. His parents preceded him in death.
