William Prince

William H. Prince, age 81, of Lakeshore, MN, died on Friday, May 11, 2001, at St. Joseph?s Hospital in Brainerd. Private family services will be held. Arrangements are with the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter.
William Henry Prince was born on September 18, 1919, in Grandridge, Illinois to Eli and Emma (Hart) Prince. It was in the Ottowa, IL area that he grew up and attended school. In 1940, Bill entered the United States Army where he proudly served his country during WWII. On November 5, 1943, he was married to Ruth Beaumont. Following his honorable discharge in 1945, the family made their home in East Peoria, IL where Bill worked as a printer. In 1963, they moved to Lakeshore and Bill worked at Lakeland Color Press until his retirement in 1981. His life was saddened by the death of his wife, Ruth in April of 1989. On January 16, 1990, he was married to Lois Frederick Peoria, IL. Bill enjoyed fishing, bowling, dancing and woodworking.

He is survived by his wife, Lois of Lakeshore; daughter, Marette (Elliott) Plumer of Trivoli, IL; 2 sons: William F. (Georgia Stigall) Prince of La Honda, CA and Mark (Rosie) Prince of Baxter; 4 grandchildren: Darrin and Brady Prince and Tony and Alison Plumer; 1 great-granddaughter, Anna Elizabeth Plumer. His parents and his first wife, Ruth, preceded him in death.
