William Giefer

William H. Giefer, age 97, of Saint Paul and Big Trout Lake, MN, was born on May 25, 1914, in Saint Paul. Bill passed away peacefully on May 10, 2012, in Pine River.

Bill is survived by his son, Bob (Diane); grandchildren: Julie Thomas (Steve), Chrissy Merullo (Steve), Joe Giefer, Amy Leuer (Andy); great grandchildren: Melissa and Sam Thomas, Matt and Mackenzie Merullo, Abby and Joey Leuer; sister-in-law, Betty Giefer (Arms); along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Marguerite (Tamborino); wife of 71 years, Charlotte (Beckman); daughter, Linda Murphy; and brothers, Dick and Don Giefer.

Memorials are preferred to MN/ND Alzheimer's Association.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 AM on Thursday, May 17, at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 4030 Pilot Knob Road, Eagan, MN 55122. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
