William Frederick Dumpprope was born on February 20, 1935, in Poplar Township, Cass County, MN, the son of Harvey and Mary Jane (Matthews) Dumpprope. He grew up and attended country school there. As a child he spent some time in Montana. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1959 serving his country for 2 years. Returning to Minnesota he began farming in Poplar Township, doing dairy farming, raising beef cattle, trucking and driving school bus. Bill enjoyed being in the outdoors, working, fishing, hunting and raising horses. He loved his children and grandchildren dearly and took great pleasure in showing them the farm and outdoors. He was always willing to help family and friends. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Mary Jane; step daughter, Linda Spillman; and brothers, Milford, Larry, and Steve. Bill is mourned in passing by his children, Tony Dumpprope of Leader, MN, Nyomi (Tom) Davis of Shoreview, MN, Tammy (Joe) Wieczorek of Andover, MN, Marlene Guzman of Staples, Jerry Collison of Browerville, Susan Collison of Pillager, Curt (Cindy) Collison of Oylen, Cindy Collison of Pillager, and Albert (Mary) Collison of Staples; 26 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; brother, Donald (Darlene) Dumpprope of Leader; sisters, Maybelle (Don) Cory of Leader, June (Don) Hanson of Leader, Velma (Jim) VanBlaricom of Caldwell, ID, Evon (Robert) Cory of Staples, and Joyce (Robert) Dailey of Leader, and many nieces and nephews. Arrangements are entrusted to the Brenny Funeral Chapel of Stapes.
