William Bunch

William “Bill” J. Bunch, 89, of Brainerd, MN passed away at Good Samaritan Society-Bethany in Brainerd, MN on Monday, October 29, 2018. Services for Bill will be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at 1:00PM at the Good Samaritan Society – Bethany Chapel.

Bill was born on September 11, 1929 in Marceline, MO to Denzil and Mary (Johnson) Bunch. Bill married Iva Frazier on December 10, 1949 in Marceline, MO. Bill was a natural salesman working at Sinclair Oil Company and then Mammoth Plastics. Later in life, Bill worked part-time at Madden’s golf course. He enjoyed golf, dancing with Iva, fishing, and going to Ernie’s on Gull every Friday at 12 noon with his golf buddies.

Bill is survived by his children, Bruce and Rebecca; grandson, Joshua (Ame) Young; one great-grandchild, Chelsea; sister-in-law, Dorothy Downing; and several nieces and a nephew. Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Iva Lou; parents, Denzil and Mary; brother, George; and sister, Hannah.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
