William Brynteson, 86, of Brainerd, passed away at his home Tuesday, October 10, 2017. The family plans to honor William’s life privately at his request.
William was born December 5, 1930, in Dassel, MN, the son of William and Nellie (Cushman) Brynteson. Following his education, William went to work driving truck until he enlisted in the US Army in 1952. He served his country for 2 years. William continued his career in transportation and began working as a Dump Truck Driver. He was employed by Wangren’s in Minneapolis and later Tom’s Backhoe when William moved to Brainerd. He was a member of the American Legion. William loved his family and dogs.
He is survived by his children, Cheryl Borders, Alan (Carolyn) Brynteson, and Nancy O’Brien; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and his beloved dogs, Tessie, Honey, Swiper, and Chloe. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria; son, Scott; and sister, Beverly.
