William Alderson

William "Bill" Alderson, age 65, of Pine River, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at Hennepin County Medical Center. He was born to Loren and Eleanor Alderson on December 21, 1948, in Cylinder, Iowa. Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served in law enforcement for 32 years with the Cass County Sheriff and Pine River Police Departments. He enjoyed bowling and gardening and was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing.

Bill is survived by his wife, Jeanyne; sons: Doug Alderson (Alisha), Jason Wolkenhauer (Lindsey), Jeromie Wolkenhauer; daughter, Jodi Freking (Lance); brother, Gene Alderson (Beth); and grandchildren: Mariah, Brianna, Brady, Kylie, Zac, Kali, Mauer and Kolston.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be 11 AM on Monday, August 4, at Riverview Church, Pine River. Burial will follow at Pine Ridge Cemetery, Pine River. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Arrangements are with Kline Funeral Home, Pine River.
