Wendy Sherman, age 51, of Pequot Lakes, MN, passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, November 25, 2023, surrounded by her loving family after a four-year battle with cancer. Wendy was born on May 13, 1972, in St. Paul, MN, to Don and Sandy Craighead. She graduated from Mounds View High School in 1990 and attended the University of St. Thomas, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 1994 with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Business. Wendy married Mark Sherman on June 17, 1995, and their first two years of marriage were spent in Salt Lake City and St. Paul before settling in Pequot Lakes for the rest of her life. Wendy worked in sales, various capacities in Mark’s dental practice, for the Pequot Lakes school district and was a full-time mom.

As a devoted wife, mother and friend, Wendy was known as a kind, compassionate and faithful person who lived her life with grace and strength. Wendy’s top priorities were her faith in Jesus and raising her children. Throughout her life and especially during her illness, Wendy’s dogs were great companions. She gained much joy spending time boating on the Whitefish Chain, water skiing, alpine skiing, golfing, playing tennis and spending time with family and friends.

Wendy is survived by her husband of 28 years, Mark Sherman; mother, Sandy Craighead; children, Matthew and Madeline; brother, Dan (Cindy) Craighead; sister, Janine (Tom) Olmscheid; nephews, Peter, A.J. and Ben; nieces, Cassie, Julia and Sarah. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jim Craighead, and father, Don Craighead.

Services will be held at Timberwood Church in Nisswa, MN, on Thursday, December 7. Visitation will begin at 1 PM followed by the service at 2 PM.
