Wayne Swanson

Swanson, Wayne A,age 81 of Merrifield, formerly of New Hope and winter home in Phoenix, died Oct.28. Served in WWII as Navy radio operator in the Aleutian Islands and Okinawa. Services will be 11:00 AM Monday, Oct. 31, at House of Hope Lutheran Church, 4800 Boone Ave, New Hope, visitation will began at 9:00 AM at the church. Preceded in death by brothers, Clinton and Lawrence and grand daughter Lindsay Ranta. Survived by wife of 58 years, Jeanette; sons, Dave (Jan), Randy (Kathy), Todd (Karen), and daughter, Cheryl (Steve) Ranta; grandchildren, Lonnie (Jesse), Scott, Jacob, Joel, Megan, Jennifer, Luke, Linnea; and great grand daughter, Jericka. Memorials will be to the American Cancer Society.
