Wayne Sorenson

Wayne Allen Sorenson, age 63, of Backus, passed away on Friday, August 26, 2022, at his home. He was born to LaVerne and Wanda Sorenson on July 4, 1959, in Forsyth, MT.

Wayne was a graduate of Pine River High School. He then served in the Army from 1979 -1983 and was stationed in Frankfurt, Germany. Wayne had a love for music and was known as a DJ in the area. He was also a talented woodworker and built his own home. He was such a hard worker and was a handyman. Wayne was always friendly and helpful and could strike up a good conversation wherever he went. Wayne was a member of Jehovah Witnesses and was Baptized in 2014. His faith and family were very important to him.

Wayne is survived by his mother, Wanda; daughters: Nacole Sorenson, Kendra Sorenson (Tyler Hamline), Kaylee Hopper (Nolan); brother, Dean Sorenson (Shirley); and grandchildren: Maya, River, Kieran and Raina. He was preceded in death by his father LaVerne.

Services will be 11 AM on Saturday, September 10, at Kingdom Hall in Jenkins. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Backus.
