April 2, 1940 — December 27, 2003

Wayne A. Brandt, age 63, Crosslake, died Saturday 12/27/03 at home following a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral Services will be Tuesday 12/30/03 at 11 AM at Crosslake Lutheran Church with Rev. Marshall Pechauer officiating. The relatives will receive friends from 6 till 8 PM on Monday at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Crosslake with a prayer service at 7:30 PM Monday evening. Visitation will also be at the church 1 hour prior to the service.
Wayne A. Brandt was born on April 2, 1940 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin son of Arnold and Olive (Capes) Brandt . Wayne graduated from Eau Claire Memorial High School in 1958. He then attended Eau Claire Technical College. He was united in marriage to Karen Garlie on 12/8/1962 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. They moved to Fridley where he worked for Honeywell/ATK for 33 years until his retirement in 1995. They moved to Crosslake where he?s been a resident till his death. He was an active member of Crosslake Lutheran Church where was co-chairman of the building program and chairman of the property committee. He served on the District 10 Hockey Board in Fridley and the Fridley Hockey Tournament. He enjoyed being around youth and coached baseball, softball, basketball and hockey. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, hockey and being around people.

Wayne A. Brandt is survived by his wife; Karen, 1 daughter; Kelly (Craig) Hoffman & children; Kelsey, Cody & Cole of Gilbert, Az, 2 sons; Tom (Heidi) Brant & children; Mackenzie, Lexi, Reygan, & Carson of Savage, Mn. Michael (Lisa) Brant and child; Cameron of Duluth, Mn. 2 sisters; Bernice Gunderson of Chippewa Falls, Wisc, Marilyn Starin of Eau Claire, Wisc. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother; Arnold Jr.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the Crosslake Lutheran Church building fund. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Crosslake.
