Warren Meyer (1951-2024)
Warren Jerome Meyer, 73, of Rochester, Minnesota, died peacefully at his home in Baxter, Minnesota on Tuesday, Oct. 1st. He was born in Rochester on Feb. 3rd, 1951 to Andrew and Marie (Kocer) Meyer, and was the youngest of 4 children. He married Nancy (Moon) Meyer on April 27th, 1970 and they had two wonderful children, Molly and Zachary (Zak). Together, Warren and Nancy created a beautiful life and legacy over 54 years that will live forever in those whose lives they touched.
Warren will be remembered for his kind and loving nature. He provided encouragement and guidance to those around him, and was always quick to lift people’s spirits with a joke, warm hug, or nugget of wisdom. He had an inquisitive mind that led him to develop many interests, from the metaphysical to the musical. He and Nancy enjoyed exploring new places, particularly in state and national parks, and cheering on their grandchildren at hockey games.
Family was the light of Warren’s life, and in turn, he was the light of his family. He spent his final days with his loved ones and was at peace knowing he would be reunited with Zak.
Warren is survived by his wife Nancy Meyer, his daughter Molly (Robert) Haskins, daughter-in-law Rebecca Wolf, sisters Karen (Jack) Kinley and Joan (Wayne) Scott, 6 grandchildren, Logan, Brooke, Atreya, Connor, Tyler, and Violet, and his puppy Toby. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Wayne (Karen) Meyer, and son Zak Meyer, who passed in July 2002.
There are no services planned, as per Warren’s wishes. In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to the National Park Foundation in Warren’s name.
Arrangements are entrusted to Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Baxter.
