Walter Denny

Walter Denny, 61, of Staples, MN died Monday, June 15, 2015 at Lakewood Health System Hospital in Staples, MN. A Memorial Service for Walter will be 10:00AM, Friday, June 19, 2015 at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples, with Pastor Jim Johnson officiating. Military Honors provided by Wadena VFW Post #3922.

Walter was born June 1, 1954 in Bertha, MN to George and Mary Ann (Hokansen) Denny. He served in the US Army for two years. Upon his Honorable discharge, he returned to the Staples area. Walter was employed by Gold Turkey Farms for over ten years. He enjoyed traveling, camping, playing cards, watching old Westerns, especially John Wayne. He was a "Green Earth Person"; always recycling anything he could and valued doing his part to keep the Earth "green", he always could be found chewing on a piece of gum and a toothpick. Walter especially enjoyed being able to spend time with his family and his grandchildren.

Walter is survived by his children, David Denny of Eagle Bend, Corey (Anndrena) Denny of SC, Christine Denny of SC, Becky (Adam) Mick of Staples; siblings, Peggy (Ted) Ludovissie of Ely, Sheryl (Al) Beach of Long Prairie, Ila (Elliot) Yeske of Pelican Rapids, Connie Denny of Browerville, Charles Denny of Verndale, Mary (Kerry) Rioux of Baudette, Debby (Gary) Sales of Clarissa and Judi (Dave) Soule of Perham; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples, MN.
