Vivian McCulley

Vivian D. McCulley passed away at Elmwood House Friday, August 17, 2012 where she has been a resident for the past 1 ½ years. Vivian was born August 1, 1926 in Frazee, MN to William and Amanda Thompson. She was united in marriage to Eldon McCulley October 9, 1945. Vivian worked many years on the farm with Eldon. She worked at Scott's Store Luncheonette (TG&Y) as a cook for over 30 years. She enjoyed camping with family and friends and snowmobiling. Eldon, her husband of 60 plus years, was beloved companion though good time and bad. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were very important in her life.

Vivian is survived by children, Diane (Mike) Alred, of Baldwin, WI, daughter-in-law, Becky McCulley, of Brainerd, and Rodney McCulley, of Brainerd; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many devoted friends. Vivian was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; husband, Eldon; and son, Larry.

Services will be held at 12:00 PM, Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Brainerd. Family and friends are invited to gather one hour prior to services. Interment will be at Lake Edward Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
