Vivian Alice Klodt, 88, of Stapes, MN died on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at her daughters home in Mound, MN. Funeral Services for Vivian will be held on Friday, September 25, 2015 at 11:00 am at Hope Chapel in Verndale, MN with Pastor Neal Malcore officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Thomastown Cemetery. A memorial service will be on Saturday September 26, 2015 at 11:00 am at Calvary Memorial Church in Wayzata, MN.
Vivian was born on November 17, 1926 in North Dakota to John and Lillie (Dearholt) Knutson. Vivian married David Klodt in Staples, MN on June 2, 1945. They farmed most of their life in Bullard Township. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking, and entertaining guests. She taught Sunday School for many years and was a member of the Gideons Auxillary.
Vivian is survived by her children, Gary (Jeanette) Klodt of Sodotna, Alaska, Mary (Larry) Bailey of Mound, MN, and Carol (David) Kochendorfer of New Mexico; seven grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, David; four brothers; Earl, Lyle, Merle, Leonard and two sisters Pearl and Viola. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples, MN.
