Violet Rice

Violet Rice, age 91, of Pine River, passed away Thursday, January 10, 2008 at Whispering Pines Good Samaritan Center, Pine River. She was born November 22, 1916 in Sherburn, MN to Louis and Nina Weseman.
She is survived by her children: Donna Eveland (Duane) of Backus, Harold Rice (Marsha) of Pine River, Helen Duncan of Howard Lake; daughter-in-law, Jan Rice of Barnesville; sisters: Viola Bradford of Auburn, CA, Lauretta Krahmer (Roy) of Sherburn; 14 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Melvin, sons, Bill and Tom, son-in-law, Gilbert Duncan, great granddaughter, Molly Rice, three brothers and one sister.
Services will be 2 PM on Tuesday, January 15 at Kline Funeral Home, Pine River. Burial will be at the Mildred Cemetery, Backus. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
