Violet Friedman

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our mom, Violet on Thursday, November 18, 2010. Violet lived a full life and touched the hearts of many.

She is survived by her children, Mardi (Jon) Knudson, of St. Cloud, Rolland Peterson, of Young America, and Jodi Peterson, of Moorhead. Vi will also be remembered warmly by her grandchildren, Neil (Anya) Knudson, Kyle (Liz) Knudson, Tiffany Peterson, and Russel Peterson, as well as her new great-grandchildren, Emery and Gavin Knudson. Violet's sisters Dorothy Olson and Della (Howard) Alm will miss her deeply, especially those wonderful phone calls. Dorothy will remember her humor most of all.

Violet was predeceased by her loving husband, Dick Friedman; her mom and dad, Olga and Arthur Lund; as well as her brothers, Arthur, Jr. and Chuck and her sisters, Dori and Dee. She was also preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Tammy Peterson.

There are many other family and friends who will also feel the loss of this wonderful and spirited woman.

Vi would appreciate us remembering her, but not to fuss too much. A private family ceremony to honor our mom was held on November 19, 2010.

Memorials may be made in Violet's memory to the American Heart Association or Brainerd Hospice.
