Vincent Kruger

Vincent Anthony Kruger, 49, of Staples, MN died Friday, March 20, 2015 in Staples.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at the West Chapel of Lenmark Gomsrud Linn Funeral Home, 1405 N. Clairemont Avenue, Eau Claire WI, 54703. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 26, 2015, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 322 Fulton Street, Eau Claire WI, 54703, with a visitation one hour prior to the Mass at church. Father George Thayilkuzhithottu will be officiating. Interment will be at a later date. Military Honors will be conducted by the Eau Claire VFW Post #305.

Vincent was born May 29, 1965 to Marshall and Beverly (Mack) Kruger in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. He graduated from Eau Claire Memorial High School and then entered the Army National Guard. Vincent was united in marriage to Leann Heise on November 28, 1987 in Austin, Texas. Vincent had a tour in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom. After his retirement from the Army in September of 2012, he worked for the State of Texas for the United States Property and Fiscal Office of the State of Texas for the US Military. Vincent served 29 dedicated years to the US Army National Guard. Vincent, Leann and Dayle moved to Staples, MN on August 22, 2014. Vincent enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a big sports enthusiast, participated in high school wrestling, baseball and football. He was very good at fixing things, he liked fishing and snow blowing and working in the yard.

Vincent is survived by his wife, Leann; parents, Marshall and Beverly Kruger of Chippewa Falls, WI; children, Bryan Kruger of Austin, TX, Dayle Kruger of Staples, MN; siblings, Scott (Kristin) Kruger of Elk River, MN, Chad (Angie Geislinger) Kruger of Chippewa Falls, WI, and Missy Kruger of Chippewa Falls, WI; and hundreds of extended family members.
