Vicky Topp

April 10, 1953 — November 19, 2009

Vicky Lynn (Kramer) Topp, 56, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2009 at her home with her husband Wendy at her side. Vicky was born April 10, 1953 to Lawrence (Shorty) and Marge Kramer in Sleepy Eye, MN. She graduated from Sleepy Eye Public High School in 1971 and Winona State University School of Nursing in 1975. Vicky was a school nurse in Sartell, Duluth, and Pine River/Backus where she was employed until being diagnosed with ovarian cancer in the fall of 2008.
Vicky was united in marriage to Wendell Topp at Albion Lutheran Church on March 8, 1975. They were blessed with two children, Dacia and Nathan. The greatest joy of Vicky's life was being a wife and mother. She looked forward to becoming a grandma in April, 2010.

Vicky was a member of Lord of Life Lutheran church, Baxter, MN, where she was active in Caring Friends, Cancer Support Group, and the Relay for Life team. She also volunteered in other capacities as needed. In death as in life, Vicky, who was loving, caring and had a genuine concern for people, chose to do what she could to help others by donating her body to the University of Minnesota for medical research.

In addition to her husband Wendy, and children Dacia (Ryan) Selzler and Nathan (Lindsay) Topp, Vicky is survived by her mother Marge Kramer, sisters Cheryl Vinson, Cindy (Joe) Steffl, and Sue (Rich) Lund, her brother Larry Kramer, her parents-in-law Richard and Gloria Topp, sisters-in-law Joanne Topp, Kari (Gregg) Stone, and Vicki (Eric) Wilner, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends. Vicky was truly loved, and she will be missed by all who were blessed to know her.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday November 29, 2009 at 3:00 P.M. The service will be held at Lord of Life Lutheran church, 6190 Fairview Rd, Baxter, MN. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Diabetes Association, Lord of Life Lutheran Church, Caring Bridge, or a charity of your choice.
