Vickie Swanson

Vickie Lynn Swanson, 64, of Shoreview, MN died on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at Good Samaritan Village-Bethany in Brainerd, MN. A Memorial Service for Vickie will be held at Fish Lake Lutheran Church in Stark, MN on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at 1:00PM with Pastor Rebecca Thurman officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.

Vickie was born on March 22, 1950. Vickie worked as a Registered Nurse in Wisconsin and Minneapolis, MN. Vickie ended her career working for Medica doing Managed Care for nursing homes. She enjoyed down hill skiing. Vickie loved raising funds for cystic fibrosis. She loved being with her family and friends and had a passion for her career as a nurse.

Vickie is survived by her brother, Thomas (Jean) Swanson of Brainerd, MN; niece, Ingralisa (Ben) Anderson of Mankato, MN; and great-nephew, Thomas. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorials are preferred to Good Samaritan Society (please send checks to Tom Swanson at 8993 Golden Pond Drive - Brainerd, MN 56401). He would like to use the funds contributed to create a hospice room in Vickie's memory.
