Tyrus Urbanski

Tyrus Eugene Urbanski, age 62, of rural Brainerd, Minnesota died Thursday, January 4, 2001. Services will be on Monday, January 8, 2001 at 11:00 am at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter with Rev Dr Paul Fruth officiating, burial will be in the Pine River Cemetery. Friends may call after 9 AM Monday at the Brenny Funeral Chapel.
Tyrus Eugene Urbanski was born on November 6, 1938 in Tracy, Minnesota son of Anestas and Fern (Uecker) Urbanski. He graduated from high school in St Paul, Minnesota and attended Dunwoody Institute for auto bodywork. He worked in auto body repair, then worked as a plater until his illness. He then moved to Norway Lake near Pine River, then moved to rural Brainerd in 1990 where he?s been a resident till his death. He received a kidney transplant and was the oldest living kidney recipient. Tyrus enjoyed hunting, fishing, the out doors and carpentry work.

Tyrus is survived by 2 sons Timothy Urbanski, Rice Lake, Wisconsin, Tom Urbanski of Superior, Wisconsin; a brother Michael (Doris) Urbanski of Chaska, Minnesota.
