Tom Cooley

Thomas "Tom" A. Cooley, 63, of Lakeshore, died July 25, 2012 at his home. A Memorial Service is planned for 11:00 AM, Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter. A visitation will take place Monday evening from 5-7 PM at the funeral chapel and one hour prior to services on Tuesday. A reception will follow at the Brenny Funeral Chapel Reception Room. Interment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery in Nisswa.

Tom was born November 14, 1948 to Thomas and Francis (Davidson) Cooley. After high school, he immediately began an apprenticeship as a carpenter. In 1981, he started Lor-cyn Construction with his father-in-law, Wally Nielsen before developing TA Cooley Construction. His career started in San Diego and took him to Hawaii and finally Minnesota where he built his home in Lakeshore. Tom liked hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Lakeshore Gun Club - a pastime he enjoyed.

He will be missed by his daughter, Tiffany Fondie; son-in-law, Lance; three grandchildren, three grandchildren, Krystina, Drake, and Oliver; mother, Francis Reisinger, of Baxter; sisters, Vicki Schiller and Debbie Smith; and nieces, Brittney and Samantha. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Cooley and his son, Shawn Cooley.
