Tom was born in South St. Paul, MN on October 18, 1940, the middle son of Philip and Ann (Perkovich) Woog. Tom excelled at hockey and rowing in high school and became a cement mason, then a policeman before moving up north to Crosslake in 1969 where he became a contractor until he and his brother Jim opened a small amusement park in 1984 called Free Wheelin'. There he invented a water balloon attraction called 'Water Wars' and owned and operated the business manufacturing those products until his "retirement" in 2013. Tom started the hockey program in Crosslake in 1971 and coached many local kids including the first varsity team for the combined Pequot/Crosby high school team in 1992. A tremendous artist and piano player, Tom loved people, church, and most of all, his family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family.
Arrangements are entrusted to Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Baxter.
