Thomas Stanforth

Thomas Jay Stanforth, age 68, of Pine River, passed away Monday, December 11, 2017. He was born April 14, 1949, in Brainerd to David and Astrid Stanforth, who preceded him in death. Tom spent 3 years in the U.S. Army in Recon HHC 1/23 2nd Division as an APC driver. He spent one year in Korea in 1968 during the time the Pueblo Boat was held. Tom enjoyed time spent around his farm where he lived most of his life. He loved hunting, fishing, playing cards and attending many Pine River-Backus High School sporting events.

A memorial gathering will be held from 5 to 7 PM on Wednesday, January 10, at Kline Funeral Home, Pine River. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
