Thomas Snee

Thomas J. Snee, age 88, of Staples, passed away early Thursday morning, July 26, 2007, at the Lakewood Care Center in Staples. Funeral Services will be 10:30 AM Saturday, July 28, at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples. Friends may call for one hour prior to Services on Saturday. Interment will be in Evergreen Hill Cemetery at Staples. Thomas Joseph Snee was born January 18, 1919, in Madoc, MT, the son of James Patrick and Mary (Hoffman) Snee. As a child, illness made it difficult for him to attend regular school so his parents and siblings homeschooled Thomas. He enjoyed working on the family farm, feeding the animals, etc. Tom loved to meet new people and when family and friends came to visit he could remember many of their birthdates. He liked to sing and whistle, especially his favorite song, Springtime in the Rockies. Over 30 years ago Tom was one of the original clients that came to live at the Care Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mary; brother and sister-in-law James and Alice Snee; also sister and brother-in-law Dorothy and Carl Hanson. Tom is mourned in passing by his brother, John(Gerri) Snee of Lake Wales, FL; 3 sisters, Kathryn Snee of Minneapolis, Margaret Beckett of Minneapolis, and Lorraine (Jack) Kniprath of Buffalo, MN. He will also be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and his friends and caregivers from Lakewood Care Center. In lieu of flowers memorials are preffered to Lakewood Care Center
