Thomas Jesse

Thomas Frederick Jesse, 78, of Garrison, died at his home Monday, April 20, 2015.
Services for Thomas will be held on Friday, April 24, 2015 at 1:00PM at Holy Family Catholic Church in Hillman, MN.

Thomas was born May 29, 1936, in Minneapolis, MN, the son of Helmuth and Hildegarde (Wambach) Jesse. Following high school he continued his education and enlisted in the US Navy. He was proud to serve his country and remained active in the American Legion after his honorable discharge. Thomas dedicated his life to law enforcement and enjoyed the many years he served as Deputy Sheriff for Hennepin County. In 1957, he married Karol Berge. The couple raised their family in the Metro area before retiring to Garrison. During the winter months they spent many miles touring the southern states in their 5th Wheel and also visiting the Northwest during warmer times of the year. Thomas enjoyed the outdoors - especially hunting. He was fond of doing crossword puzzles and was an avid reader of mysteries and historical novels. Thomas' family was important to him and he cherished the time he gathered with them at the cabin.

He will be missed by his wife, Karol; children, Teresa (Gary) Anderson, Thomas P. (Regina) Jesse, Jean (Tom) Brownell, and Debra Jesse; sister, Elaine Bohanon; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and sons, Martin and Thomas F., Jr.
