Thelma Roberts

Thelma Anne (Jelle) Roberts 70 passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer. She passed away October 10th with family by her side. Funeral services will be at 2 pm on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN. A visitation will take place one hour prior to services.

Thelma was born on March 27th 1951 to Anna (Nelson) and Talmer Jelle. She married Bruce Roberts on December 20th 1969. Together they raised three beautiful children Shon (Lisa) Roberts, Lori (Scott) Koland, and Leesha Roberts, and 6 amazing grandchildren Mara, Eli, Lexi, Braydon, Tre’Von and Zay’Vion whom she loved very much. She is also survived by her siblings El Buus, Vern (Roberta) Jelle, Dot (Pete) Napoles, and Jim (Patsy) Jelle.

Thelma spent many years of her life driving bus. She worked up until 2014 when she retired from Reichert Bus Service as their city bus dispatcher. Some of her passions in life included being her grandkids number one fan at their sporting events, crocheting, as she donated many blankets to hospice patients in the Brainerd lakes area, and enjoying a good lifetime movie every now and again.

She was preceded in death by her parents Anna and Talmer, sisters Lena and Bernice, brother Marvin, and her mother and father-in-law Vivian and Doc Roberts.

Thelma will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Baxter.
