Terry James

Terry Elizabeth James, 69, of Brainerd, died Monday, July 20, 2015 at Essentia Health - St. Joseph's Medical Center. Family and friends are welcome to gather for an open house in honor of Terry from 5-7 PM, Thursday, July 23 at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter.

Terry was born February 12, 1946, in Seattle, WA, the daughter of Russell and Marjorie (Preston) Behrens. She was raised in a military family and they were transferred to Minnesota. She was united in marriage to Marvin James in 1967 and the couple lived in Little Falls for many years before moving to the Brainerd Lakes Area. She worked at the State Hospital in Brainerd. Terry was fond of garage sales and playing Bingo. She liked to read and spend time with her dog, Boo Boo. Most of all, Terry cherished her grandchildren.

She will be missed by her children, Tina Annable, of Brainerd, Randy James, of Pequot Lakes, and Stacy (Carol) James, of Motley; sisters, Laura Behrens and Lynda Solheim; brothers, Russell, Ernest and Dave Behrens; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin in 2014; her son Mikey, and her parents.
