Terry Hanson

Terry L. Hanson, 61, of rural Brainerd died Monday, April 21 at his home. Terry LeRoy Hanson was born September 1, 1941 in Brainerd, to Lyle and Margaret (Gray) Hanson. He grew up in Brainerd and graduated from Brainerd High School in 1959. He attended Brainerd Junior College for one year before being hired at Potlatch. He worked in the Coating Department at Potlatch from 1962 until his retirement five years ago. He was married to Wendy Cox, his wife of 21 years, in Brainerd on July 2, 1981. He liked to keep busy outdoors, and enjoyed fishing for northern and bass, hunting, cutting wood, and gardening. His two Airedale dogs, Chelsey and Ditto, were his constant companions.
Terry is survived by his wife Wendy; a daughter Darcy Hanson of Brainerd; his mother Margaret; a brother Kirby (Nancy) Hanson of Watsonville, CA; and nieces and nephews Katie and James Cox, Kim and Shane Hanson, and Kriss Austin. His father Lyle preceded him in death.

Memorial services will be Thursday, April 24, 11:00 AM, at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter. Friends may visit for one hour prior to the service.
