Terry Lee Dingman, 66, of Brainerd, died in a motorcycle accident Thursday, April 14, 2016. Services for Terry will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter. Family and friends are invited to gather one hour prior to services. Interment with Military Honors will be held at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery near Camp Ripley.
Terry was born January 13, 1950, in Brainerd, the son of Norman and Irene (Chambers) Dingman. Following his graduation from Brainerd High School, Terry enlisted in the US Navy and served as a Corpsman during Vietnam. He continued his education after his discharge and became an ordained minister. After many years serving in a number of churches, he followed his passion and returned to school for nursing. He obtained his RN Degree and worked as a traveling nurse.
Terry was proud of his military service and was a member of the VFW and American Legion. He was an avid outdoorsman, especially fishing, snowmobiling, motorcycling, and hunting. His greatest joy was his family; he cherished his time with them and his role as son, brother, father and grandfather.
He will be missed by his mom, Irene, of Helendale, CA; girlfriend, Alicia Gryder, of OK; children, Maria Sachs, of Salem, OR, Marla (Jake Hughes) Anderson, of Nisswa, Joshua (Jennifer) Dingman, of Pequot Lakes, and Jeremiah (Jennifer) Dingman, of Breezy Point; brother, Tony (Joy) Dingman; sisters, Trudy (Dennis) Hoskins and Tracie (Edward) Parades; and grandchildren, Devon, Sydney, Billy, Brady, Seth, Kaily, Keaton, Mena, and Alyvia. He was preceded in death by his father, Norman.
