Sylvia Ann (Mason) Vail passed away on November 6, 2024, at the Good Samaritan Home in Pine River, MN.

Sylvia was born in Debs, MN, on September 28, 1943, to Jess and Henrietta Mason. She was the youngest of 7 children. Sylvia married Vernon Vail on August 19, 1967, and they raised 4 children: Julie Ann, Allan Morgan, Douglas Vernon, and Michael David.

Sylvia had a love and appreciation for the Bible and spiritual things. Her favorite scripture was Job 14:15, “You will call, and I will answer you. You will long for the work of your hands.” Sylvia dedicated her life and became one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1975. She has been a part of the Jenkins Congregation since 2015.

Sylvia cared for people and had a soft demeanor. She always liked a good joke. She went to school to become an LPN and also took violin lessons for 6 years. Sylvia will be remembered for her kindness and soft giggles.

Sylvia was preceded in death by both of her parents; brothers, Daniel, Gene, Allan, and David; husband, Vernon; and son, Michael.

Sylvia is survived by her siblings, Jess and Edith; children, Julie (Rudolfo), Allan Morgan, and Doug; 4 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
