Sven Petrusson

Sven C. Petrusson, 86, of Bay Lake Area, died Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Essentia Health - St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd. Memorial Gathering will be held in Spring 2013.

Sven was born August 31, 1926, in Sweden, the son of Birger and Gerda (Nillson) Petrusson. In 1949, he came to the United States and married Anne Cook in Minneapolis, MN on November 19, 1952. They were married for 60 years. Sven worked for Minor Ford in Minneapolis until the early 1980s when he went to work on the Alaskan Pipeline. When he returned to Minnesota, Sven worked in St. Paul for a short time before taking early retirement. Sven and Anne moved to the Bay Lake Area in 1973. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and bird-watching.

He is survived by his wife, Anne; children, Ingrid (Tad) Dalzen, of Winnebago, Lennart (Debbie), of Coon Rapids, Sherri Petrusson, of Pillager, and Alan Petrusson, of Pillager; grandchildren, Michelle, Clinton, Justin, and Ashley; and brother, Erik (Pat), of New Brighton. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Kenny; and grandchildren, Jesse and ReNee.
