It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Suzanne Elizabeth Johnson, 62, of Pequot Lakes on Tuesday September 10th, 2024.

Suzanne is survived by her loving husband Peter Scott of Pequot Lakes, brothers Greg (Mary Jo) Johnson of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, and Tim (Stephanie) Johnson of Minneapolis, stepdaughter Lily Scott, stepson Ben (Rachel) Scott, niece Jennifer (Brian) Johnson-Harris, nephews Jordan and Evan Johnson, grandkids Cassidy and Calvin, great-niece Christiana Johnson, father and mother-in-law Ronnie and Karen Scott.

She was preceded in death by her parents, nephew Jeffrey and loyal dog Tipper.

Suzanne Johnson was born March 6, 1962, in Sleepy Eye to Lyle and Mary (Jensen) Johnson. She graduated from New Ulm Public High School in 1980. During her time there, she was a member of the Outdoor Adventure Club and a Dollars for Scholars participant. She continued her education at the University of Minnesota. Suzanne was a very avid rock climber in the late 80’s and early 90’s. During that time, she climbed in over 50 areas across the United States and Canada. Suzanne spent many years as an Internet Marketing Consultant for ChamberMaster. She truly lived her life in service of others. Suzanne always had time to connect with family and friends even when it had to be over the phone. She brought warmth and kindness into the lives of everyone she met, and her love for her friends and family was evident in everything she did.

Visitation will take place Friday, October 18 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, 1400 S. State St. in New Ulm at 11:00 a.m. Funeral to follow at noon. Burial will be in the Dannebod Cemetery in Brookville Township in Redwood County.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Family Funeral Chapel.
