Susan Kraft

Sue Kraft, age 62, of Pine River, MN, passed away after a brief and courageous battle with cancer.  She passed away at her home with family surrounding her with love on April 12, 2023.  Sue was born in Minneapolis on March 18, 1961.

Sue loved to make trips out to Wecota, SD, to vacation and spend time with family and visit friends. It also gave her the opportunity to create more memories with her family. Sue also loved traveling to Florida and being on the water.  She enjoyed spending her time in the kitchen making her famous zucchini bread, fruit pizza and her chai tea that she would gift to people. Sue especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren: Dominic, Alivia, Ava, Dawson, Dakota, Madelyn, Faith, Destiny, Dylan, Evan and Brynn.

Sue was a free spirit, full of happiness and love. She would spread love everywhere she went.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters, Alaina Kraft (Shane borders) and Carly Zwart (Drew Zwart); stepdaughters, Jenna Mims (Shawn Mims) and Megan Scheerhoorn; her mother, Florence Hughes; and sisters: Mary Mortensen (Chris) and family, Jane Wypyszynski (Gerard) and family and Nancy Hughes and family. Those family members she is now united with are her husband, Scott Kraft and father, Robert (Bob) Hughes.

A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, April 17, at First Lutheran Church in Pine River, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
