Susan Koepke

Susan Ann Koepke, beloved sister, aunt, and friend, of Verndale, formerly of Luck, WI, passed away August 31, 2013 at the age of 66. Services for Susan will be held on Saturday, September 14 at 2:00PM at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples, MN with visitation one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

Susie was born April 2, 1947, the daughter of Harry and May (Huntington) Snook. Susie co-owned and operated Spiral Pizza in Hastings, MN for many years. Later she worked as a pit boss at the Treasure Island Casino, where she retired. Susie adored her fur babies: Lucky, Laverne, and Shirley. After they passed she enjoyed her neighbors and friend's dogs. She enjoyed hosting 4th of July at her lake home and spent many weeks preparing for the celebration. She loved to make people smile. Susie recently moved back to the Verndale area, living with her sister, Donna. She was happy to be back on the family farm. She treasured her friends and family. Susie enjoyed fishing, gardening, camping, cooking, dog-sitting, and spending time with her family and friends. She will be dearly missed by many.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and May; brother, Wilbur Snook; sister, Wilma Snook and Seretha Butterfield; and her infant son. Susie is survived by brothers, Charles, of MT, Martin (Sharon), of Ham Lake, Walter (Kathy), of Clitheral; sisters, Harriet, of MO, Thelma, of MO, Ethel (Dave) Sherry, of NC, Marcella Beatty, of Zimmerman, and Donna Brown, of Verndale; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
