Steven Steinke

Steven "Steve" H. Steinke, 68, of Pequot Lakes, MN died on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at St. Cloud Hospital. Services will be held on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at 11:00AM at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Pequot Lakes, MN with visitation one hour prior to services at the chapel. A Celebration of his Life will be at Lucky's in Pequot after the service.

Steve was born on May 13, 1947 in Minneapolis, MN to Herbert and Rosamae (Swenby) Steinke. He graduated from Bloomington High School and Augsburg College. He worked for Tennant Co. in Golden Valley until moving to 3M in Sales and Marketing. Steve married Carole Lundemo Schwartz on September 30, 1977 in Kansas City, MO. They moved from Bloomington to Ideal Township on Whitefish Lake after retirement. Steve liked snowmobiling, hockey, fishing, golf, racing his Porsches at BIR, and walking his basset hounds. He was a generous and devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

Steve is survived by his wife, Carole; children, Chris (Rachel Mooney) Schwartz, Jason (Katie) Schwartz, Kate (Matt) Gibbs; grandchildren, Jack, Ciella, Gavin, and Memphis Mae; brother, Thomas (Janet) Steinke. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Rosamae. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Pequot Lakes, MN. Memorials preferred to family.
