Steven Lee

June 9, 1966 — September 17, 2012

Steven Michael Lee, 46, of Brainerd, formerly of Silver City, N.M., and Phoenix, Ariz., passed away unexpectedly on Sept. 17, 2012. He was born June 9, 1966, in Wadena, Minn., to Jean Lee (Bullard) and Robert Lee. He was a 1984 graduate of Brainerd High School and a 1995 graduate of Central Lakes College. Steve was a hard working, giving family man. He was a loving father and a loyal friend. He loved taking care of his family and especially loved spending time with his daughter taking her fishing and coaching her at basketball. He was happiest in life when had his family all in one place; he always believed that everyone should be together and close to one another as time together was the most precious thing to be had. He often found the meaning of life within songs and loved many types of music. He loved being outdoors and had a special talent for making things beautiful and plants thrive. He loved gardening and landscaping. He was an avid sports fan who especially loved football and basketball, the Minnesota Vikings, Phoenix Suns and Boston Celtics. He could play a fierce game of basketball and football. His knowledge of the game of football was second to none, he could call a game better than the coaches and referees on most days so maybe now with "a little help from above" our beloved Minnesota Vikings will finally make it to that Super Bowl and win it all!
He is loved and will be missed by his mother, Jean Rogers and her husband, Steve Rogers, of Silver City, N.M.; daughter, Sheyla Jensen-Boyes; and her mother, Kimberly Jensen, of Brainerd; sister, Michelle Lee, of Silver City, N.M.; nieces, Amber (Mike) Diorio, of Iron River, Wis., Kara Smith and her daughter, Zara, Duluth, Minn., and Suzzette Lee, Silver City, N.M.; and special friends, Scott LeDuc (Leanne), of Meridian, Idaho, and Christopher Schneider, of Wichita, Kan. He will be missed and remembered always by many cousins, other relatives and friends.
He will join in heaven his brother, Troy; his grandfather, James; his grandmother, Gladys; his Uncle Bob and his Uncle Jimmy and his Aunt Avis; Patty Jensen, Lillian Jensen; and his beloved dog, Junior. Family and friends will hold a memorial service at a later date.
