Steve O'Bryan

Steve O'Bryan of Fifty Lakes, MN died at his home on Sunday, November 11, 2012. Arrangements are pending with Brenny Funeral Chapel in Crosslake, MN. Funeral Services for Steve will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Crosslake, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to services.

Steve was born on November 19, 1925 in Wisconsin to Lee and Lidia (Foster) O'Bryan. He attended high school in Minneapolis, MN. Steve entered the US Marines at the age of 17. After he served in the Marines he married Jacqueline Swanson on January 23, 1948 in Minneapolis, MN. Steve was a police officer in St. Louis Park from 1956-1976. He retired in 1976, and moved to the Fifty Lakes Area where he served as police chief. Steve later was a cook at the Bungaloo in Emily. Steve's favorite pastime was fishing which he enjoyed with his entire family.

Steve is survived by his wife of 65 years, Jackie; sons, Steven (Patty) O'Bryan, Vernon O'Bryan, Bruce (Sheila) O'Bryan, and Sean (Peggy) O'Bryan; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and sister, Marie Sorenson. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Crosslake.
