Stella Davis

Stella V. Davis, age 84, of Pine River, went home to be with her Lord on November 27, 2015, at the Good Samaritan Society, Pine River. Stella was born on March 21, 1931, in Pequot Lakes to Christian and Elsie (Hanson) Knutson. She married Edwin Davis on September 23, 1950. She was a member of the Maple Hill Lutheran Church. Stella worked at Breezy Point Resort and Pfeiffer Drug for 35 years. She always wanted to give and do for others before herself. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were always special to her but also any child that needed a hug or a lap to sit on.

Stella is survived by her son, Richard, of Pine River; 5 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; sisters: Nora Hoefs of Pequot Lakes, Mabel Poul (Richard) of Baxter; and son-in-law, Maurice McAllister.

Stella is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edwin; daughter, Charlene McAllister; brothers, Harry, Edwin and baby Arlo; and sister, Gladys Rinke Rudningen.

Services will be 11 AM on Thursday, December 3, at First Lutheran Church, Pine River. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 PM at Kline Funeral Home, Pine River, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery, rural Pine River.
