Stanley Larsen

Stanley Larsen, age 97, of Pine River, passed away on Friday, October 22, 2010, at the Whispering Pines Good Samaritan Home in Pine River.

Stanley was born in Clarion, Iowa to Hans and Gina (Nielsen) Larsen. He was quite a man who loved the outdoors, a good game of cards and being with family.

He was an active member of the plumbers union, local 15 and retired after 15 years in the trade. He died peacefully in his sleep after a long stay in the nursing home. He is in God's hands and will be missed by all he left behind.

He is survived by his loving wife, Marian, of 72 years, granddaughter, Jacquie Larsen, grandson, John Larsen, six great grandchildren, sister-in-law, Bernice Campbell, daughter-in-law, Virginia Lobash and his many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his sons Wade, Harold, Gary, Charles and George.

Service will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2010, 1:00 pm at the Whitefish Community Church, 6876 County Road One, Pine River, MN with luncheon to follow at the church.
