Stanley Craver, 73, of Wadena, MN died Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at Tri-County Hospital in Wadena, MN. A gathering at Sunnybrook Park in Wadena to honor his life will be held Saturday, August 8, 2015 at 10:00AM. Interment will be at a later date.
Stanley was born September 13, 1941 in Bozeman, MT to James and Hazel (Weaver) Craver. He graduated from Belgrade High School in 1959. He worked at Yellowstone Pine and then joined the US Army in 1960, where he served for three years, mostly in Crailshiem, Germany. Stanley spent most of his working years as a truck driver, heavy equipment operator and highway construction worker. In 1970 he also also worked part time at the Bozeman Airport and earned his private pilot's license. In 1979 Stanley married Janet Koch, who had three children, Katheren, Heidi and Scott. Together they had one daughter, Crystal. In 1996 he moved from Belgrade to Wadena. Stanley enjoyed tractor pulls, mud bogs, car racing, playing guitar, hunting, fishing and spending time on his computer.
Stanley is survived by his daughter, Crystal (Chris) Jorgenson; step daughters, Heidi Bunn, Katheren Erickson; siblings, Della (Dave) Fowler, Marvin Craver; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one aunt; one uncle; nieces and nephews and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Hazel; wife, Janet; and his son, Scott. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples, MN.
