Solvieg Bomsta

Solvieg BillieElaine Bomsta, age 86, of Staples, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2008, at the Lakewood Health System Care Center in Staples, after a short illness. Born in Esmond, ND and a long time resident of Minneapolis, Billie, as she was affectionately known to many of her relatives and friends, moved to Staples in 1997 to be near her daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Dave Noska. She is also survived by her sons, James (Sylvia) Haugen and Richard (Joanne) Haugen; grandchildren Wendy (German) Charles Villanueva, Bambi (Jon) Noska Neumann, and Aubrey Noska, Kenneth and Christopher Haugen, and Richard (Jane) Andrews; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Karla Villanueva, Ellie and Adam Haugen, Tyler Haugen and Ted Andrews. Billie worked at Dannys Restaurant on Chicago Avenue in Minneapolis for many years fallowed by Jennings Red Coach Inn in St. Louis Park. Billie never tired of telling stories of her youth on the family farm outside of Esmond, the war years, relatives on all sides of the family, and of course her friends and customers in the restaurant business. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
