Solveig Olson

Solveig "Vicki" Olson, 78, of Crosslake, died Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at Mission of the Cross Lutheran Church with Pastor Leslie Uhrinak officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will take place at Pinewood Cemetery.

Vicki was born April 6, 1938, in Minneapolis, MN, the daughter of Gustav and Paula (Storseth) Vikan. She graduated from South High School. In 1964, she began a career in banking at Richfield Bank and Trust. She loved her role as "Tante" to her nieces and nephew. And she was their favorite "aunt". She retired in 1987 when she moved to Crosslake and married Clifford Olson. She continued to stay busy helping others and volunteering in various capacities in the Crosslake Area. She also was an active member of Mission of the Cross Lutheran Church where she enjoyed playing the organ for many years. Vicki also enjoyed gardening - especially planting flowers.

She will be missed by many and is survived by her nieces, Karen, Lisa, Andrea, Siri, and Maren; nephew, Mark; 15 great nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, Donald Sennes. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Glenn; and sister, Sigfrid.
