Shirley Schmidt

Shirley Schmidt, age 87, of Pequot Lakes, passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2018, at Senior Class Care in Pequot Lakes. She was born to Bill and Ida Nelson on July 9, 1931, in Pequot Lakes. Shirley and her husband, Sherman, belonged to a camping club and loved camping with them. She also enjoyed traveling around in their motorhome and fishing. She was also a member of Pequot Lakes Baptist Church and the Red Hats Club.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Sherman Schmidt; son, Mike Schmidt; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Sharon Schmidt; son, Gary Schmidt; sisters, Dorothy Johns and Vivian Osvold; brothers, Jim Nelson and Corlyn Nelson.

Services will be 11 AM on Friday, January 4 at Pequot Lakes Baptist Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Pequot Lakes Cemetery.
