Shirley Peterson

Shirley Peterson, age 80, of Pine River, passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2015, at Essentia St. Joseph's Medical Center, Brainerd. She was born to Ira and Melvina Deeds on April 12, 1935, in Hazelton Township, Aitkin County, MN.

Shirley was a loving wife, nurturing mother and doting grandmother with a beautiful soul. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed many adventures with her family and friends. She always wore a smile, loved to play cards and would always be there to pick you up if you were down. She will be missed by many and loved by all who knew her.

Shirley is survived by her sons: Jay Peterson, David Peterson (Anicia); grandchildren: Melissa Peterson, Ashley Peterson, Megan Peterson, Joseph Peterson, Jordyn Peterson; great grandchildren: Carter, Preston, Tyler; and sisters-in-law, Virginia Deeds and Betty Deeds.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eldon; son, Joel; brothers: William Deeds, Warren Deeds; and sisters and brothers-in-law: Francis and Don Revard and Irene and John Krappko.

Services will be 11 AM on Saturday, August 8, at Faith Lutheran Church, Swanburg. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 PM on Friday at Kline Funeral Home, Pine River and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Swanburg Cemetery. Arrangements with Kline Funeral Home, Pine River.
