Shirley Henderson

Shirley J. Henderson, age 85 of Eden Prairie, died Monday, November 8, 2004 at St. Joseph?s Medical Center in Brainerd. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday at the Huber Funeral Chapel in Eden Prairie. Interment will be in Lakewood Cemetery at Minneapolis. Friends may call from 5:00 until 7:00 PM on Friday at Huber Funeral Chapel and from 10:00 AM until time of Services on Saturday.
Shirley J. Henderson was born on July 6, 1919, in Worthington, MN, the daughter of Ed and Joy (Tripp) Hodgkinson. She was called from this life late Monday evening at the St. Joseph?s Medical Center in Brainerd, MN. She had attained the age of 85 years, 4 months, and 2 days.

Shirley grew up in Worthington and attended school there, graduating from Worthington High School. After High School she attended the Ashbury Hospital Nurses Training School graduating as a Registered Nurse. She worked as a professional caregiver until the mid 1970?s at Ashbury, which became Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park. On (insert date) she married Robert W. Henderson in Worthington, MN. To this union 2 children, Robert E. and Cherie, were born. They were able to celebrate (x number) of years of marriage together before Bob died in 1976. After their marriage the couple lived in Florida until Bob was discharged from the Navy. They then moved to Des Moines, IA, for a short time before moving to Richfield in the mid 1950?s. Shirley moved to Eden Prairie in the late 1970?s.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W, in 1976; and also her parents, Ed and Joy. Shirley is mourned in passing by her children, son, Robert (Betty) Henderson; daughter Cherie (Jim) Landgren; grandchildren, Rob (Theresa), Marnie (Jeff), Tom, Grant, Megan (Brad), Jennie, Kelsi (Phil), Jaimi; great-grandchildren, Page, Wade, Aaron, Matthew, Ella and Olivia; brother, Harry (Loretta) Hodgkinson and many loving relatives and friends.
