Sheryl Shake Jacobs, age 52, of Staples, passed away at the Lakewood Health System Hospital on Tuesday, November 30th. A memorial service is planned for Monday, December 6, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Swan Valley Lutheran Church in Leader with Pastor Mel Nefstead officiating. Visitation will be at the Brenny Funeral Chapel of Staples from 2 - 4 PM on Sunday December 5th and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at the Swan Valley Cemetery.

Sherry was born on December 6, 1957 to Woodrow and Shirley "Marge"(Bacon) Shake in Staples, Minnesota. Sherry was married to James Jacobs on December 14, 2002 at the Swan Valley Lutheran Church in Leader. Sherry loved tubing the river, fishing, her horses, and her family most of all.

Sherry was preceded in death by her husband, James Jacobs; father, Woodrow Shake; brother, Gary and infant son, Shawn Michael.

Sherry is survived by her mother, Marge Shake; 4 sisters, Betty (Steve) Lorber, Jo Pollock, Emily (Steve) Tholl, Denise (Steve) Bickford; 2 brothers, Steve and Larry Shake; father-in-law, Harley "Jake"Jacobs; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Arrangements are with the Brenny Funeral Chapel of Staples.
